The Second Annual Kansas Prevention Conference took place in Wichita October 1st – 3rd and welcomed 179 attendees! It was a great week of learning together and celebrating the incredible prevention work being done throughout the state.
Lieutenant Governor Lynn Rogers helped us begin the conference at the 2019 Kansas Prevention Award Winners reception. The Lieutenant Governor presented each award and shared his passion for the prevention work happening across the state.
Dr. Dennis Embry started the first day of the conference with his keynote on mental health and substance abuse and, from there, we dove right into an array of breakout sessions covering everything from vaping to problem gambling.
