Adverse Childhood Experiences and Addiction
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are a significant risk factor for addictive behaviors including substance use disorders are strongly related to development and prevalence of a wide range of health problems throughout the lifespan, including Substance Use and other Addictive Disorders. This module will review the relationship between ACEs and addiction.
Understanding the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study
This module will compare risk factors of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) scores, define effects of increased ACEs on development and review response and resilience associated with early intervention, support and education.
